Modern means what is trendy now this could be contemporary, vintage, classic, etc. And contemporary means what has been invented just right now, like the cutting-edge type of hardware used in homes. So, having this in mind you can choose your modern lamp which you can blend with the rest of the interior. If you have a classic interior, then go after a modern classic lamp. If you have a futurist interior, then search for a modern lamp, etc.
