As I have already outlined, modern coffee tables can be used either for their natural purpose – to be a foundational where you can leave your cups, glasses and dishes, also as a storage place for some magazines, books or even decorative stuff. Many people place flowers in a vase that matches the design of the table, thus adding a cozy touch in the living room interior.

Today’s modern designs use mainly three materials and they are glass, wood and metal. I must say that each one of them perfectly fit in any kind of modern and contemporary types of house and apartments so it’s really up to your own preference what type of coffee table to choose.
Glass modern coffee tables are great since they are easy to maintain. You only need to be careful not to scratch the top surface and everything will be fine give time. Also, you will find that glass shapes can be a really stylish accent in your home interior.
Wooden coffee tables are a little bit more expensive that all other types. However, they are considered more luxurious since they display natural elements inside. Well, next you buy a real wood table you’d better think on the consequences on Nature that every cut tree leaves.
Metal contemporary coffee tables are preferred in minimalist interiors. In a minimalist environment it’s all about straight and firm metal lines and elegant and simple shapes. Metal coffee tables have them all.
