Today I would like to introduce you to this top trendy flow in the interior design – using wooden Euro palettes for home decoration or for changing your traditional home look. They are gorgeous! From the time I have seen them for the first time, I just felt in love with this crates! They look so amazing when placed together with some contemporary items in the interior.
Actually, the first time when I saw this type of furniture was in a meeting in a PR agency that took responsibility for one of our project for social responsibility. We needed to discuss and negotiate some details and the PR agency suggested that we should go to their office. There I met with the Euro palettes that we used to form sofas, tables and other practical items. They were painted in white and all of them had different surfaces depending on their purpose.
For example, the sitting furniture was covered with soft layers of sitting material which has been upholstered with gentle fabric. Additionally, there were placed several colorful cushions that decorated the so formed sofas. On the tables, on the other hand, there were huge glasses that actually formed a traditional tables – with glass tops and wood bases. Each base itself has been made of wood palettes and it had different design – some of them were small and others bigger in size, all of them painted in white.
So when I turned back to the office with my colleague I definitely continued thinking about this cozy and welcoming interior that I we have been in. Personally, I believe that Euro palettes go very well with vintage and shabby chic interior as well as with more contemporary looking ones. When you match the rusting touch of palettes with contemporary furniture you achieve a definite eclectic style.
When we are talking about placement of this creative furniture, I can assure you that there are simply no limits! I have seen a lot of traditional usage, like tables and chairs in the living room. I have also met long dining tables in dining rooms. Gardens are another place that is happy to accommodate palette furniture – all kind of garden tables and relaxing sofas can be made of crates. Have you ever thought that there may be a chance to sleep on a bed which base has been made of palettes. In this collection of images here you will even find such a great idea! Other not very common usages include small help tables in toilets and bathrooms, lounge chairs in balconies and kitchen shelves for storing wine! Maybe the last one is very typical for the European interior styles but I am pretty sure that if you like it, you are going to apply it!
