The look of the Christmas most famous building in America consisted of traditional holiday festivities that are able to gather all of us in an atmosphere full of joy and happiness. It is the pleasant feeling that one feels when he welcomes his guests.
Blue Room Tree Arrival

And the official etiquette requires an official greeting to the driver before seeing the lovely cargo. Here are Michele Obama and her two daughters – Malia and Sasha.
The two young girls enjoy the giant natural Christmas tree outside at the main entrance.

Obama’s favorite pet – Bo is the lovely little friendly fellow that welcomes the visitors at the Blue Room arrival. There is even a life-sized Bo made of pom-poms in the White House.
As you can see, placing the holiday tree was not an easy task. Several strong men try to lift the tree off the carriage and place it in the very center of the room.
The Blue Room is a place of historical significance in American history. In 2012 there was a spectacular 18-foot-tall Christmas tree that decorate the interior and created an unique festive atmosphere that recreated in a way the glorious history of the nation.

The Decorating Begins
Well, Christmas decorations in White House does not only consist of one giant tree alone. There were also fifty four live smaller trees that were set along the entire property.
A tribute to all the soldiers in the Armed Forces and their families could be found in one of the corners in the White House. A brilliant idea coming from an unknown author suggested that each visitor of the White House during the holidays could leave a thankful note to those who outstanding human rights in the country and respectfully bring them a sparkle of some holiday joy.
Another surprise for the Holy Night was a fascinating replica of the White House, shaped as a gingerbread house.
Every family in the world dreams of such kind of a holiday wreath. And in the White House some dreams were truly fulfilled. The brightly colored cranberry wreaths are an outstanding decorative item that added a dazzling touch in the interior of the house.
There was a little surprise for everybody. Bo received a life-sized topiary. It took approximately 80 hours, 18 000 black pom-poms, 2 000 white pom-poms and a lot of passion to finish the overlapping technique that resembles the pet’s fur.
And if you are a girl or woman, you will definitely fall in love with the gorgeous East Entrance columns made of 60 00 berries, 15 000 gold pinecones and 15 000 lemon leaf pieces. Impressive, isn’t it?
These splendid intricate column follows the geometric design motifs of visual illusion art and forms shapes of 3D cubes in a patterned order.
At the entrance of the Blue Room one can find lush full-height garlands that contribute to the holiday atmosphere.
Placing the official Christmas tree has a symbolical meaning. The tree is dedicated to all the military families who devoted their life to US every single day in their lives. The interesting part is that almost every decoration on the tree is made by children living in US Force bases all over the world.
A White House Christmas
In the reception room one can find two separate beautifully decorated Christmas trees, placed at the both sides of a fireplace. National flag’s colors are the main colorful theme for this part of the building. Stylish and elegant garland as well as other hanging elements support the richness of the tree decoration.
There is a tradition in the White House since 1960s – there should be a gingerbread house on every Christmas day. That’s why the Obamas followed the tradition of their ancestors and ordered a 300-pound house.
Here, you can find an edible miniature of the first lady’s garden. Actually, this is a part of the gingerbread house. Delicious!
Another scene from the White House reveals this spectacular in its richness holiday decoration that celebrate the joy of American folk art. There are several hand-crafted wooden ornaments that complement the traditional art features.
Do you know which part of the White House is famous for its definition as a children’s wonderland? This is the East Garden Room! There it was placed a life-sized replica of Bo, used as a focal point in the room. A whimsical effect in the interior is achieved by the small decorative Christmas trees that surround Bo.

This is lady Michelle Obama that leads a group of children of military families that participate in making hand-crafted ornaments for the most famous dining room in America.
And this is again the first lady of America helping children finish their great ideas for Christmas decorations.
You see how devoted the children were in making their sweet little holiday decorative items that would hang on some of the trees in the White House after they would have been created.
And here is the original Bo that follows Michele Obama. This dog is lovely! And it is also a famous star. The cameras started flashing right after it entered the room.
