Boathouse
This beautiful wooden and luxurious boathouse has been built in Carinthia at the Seebodner lakeside.The property is located at the boundary between water and land in a complex where a lot of other structures had been built. Due to the other property’s mansion plans orientations a beautiful and marvelous scenery stands in front of them – one of the facades of the boathouse.
The location of the building process required advanced constructional and professional skills and cutting-edge technical solutions. It was the need that the drilling posts – each ten meters in length, had to reach the subsoil that was about to take the whole weight of the construction. The task could be only executed with an oil barrier and a base grade.
The challenge had been accepted and the result is a brilliant luxury construction standing above the water in expectation of its owners luxurious and fast motorboats. There is one major feature in the building. It is divided on a part that is above the water which uses one kind of constructing materials, and another one that is below the water surface which uses completely different ingredients in the materials. On thing is for sure – the silhouette of the boathouse is impressive.
Wood is one of the major construction components used for the part that is above the water. Those parts, settled just near the soil, are copper. The architects selected very precisely the ingredients because they wanted to build a construction that changes its appearance due to different seasons in the are. The result is timeless building ever changing its magnificent appeal in order to impress its owners over and over again
Enter the boathouse! That is not a permission command that will let you inside the building. A whole automated system of folding elements integrated into the facade is granting access to the three boat moorings. Beyond their functional purpose, the folding elements build a completely high-tech outlook of the building
Actually there are three types of boat moorings in the boathouse. One is for sailing boat, one is for motorboat and one for rowing boat. Having a huge bank account is a must for this fantastic house owner. Outside the house, however as a part of the building, there are sauna, steam bath, changing room – they represent the wellness area of the house. Actually, the purpose of the house was not only to provide a boat keeping place, but also to ensure full range of activities for a pleasant lakeside stay. On the second floor the building is equipped with solarium, massage center, fitness, relaxing area with tea kitchen. An open staircase situated in the very center of the floor plans connects all the three levels of the house.
