Our next project is one amazing eco-friendly home that employ different variations of offbeat innovations and impressive number of stable features. It is a simple evidence that the smart home design can have the same effectiveness for the business too. Authors of this gorgeous home in Atlanta with a sense of green goodness, is act of the partners in TaC Studios, Cara Cummingsand and Jose Tavel, who are having Silver LEED certification for their “resource-efficient design”. We cannot deny that they absolutely deserve it after taking a look of this gorgeous residence that mix equally form, sustainability and functionality with facile charm.
We cannot stay uninvolved to the grey stoic sleek façade, which has even more sophisticated look after the sunset. Then we step inside through the welcoming staircase of American walnut and enter to the first floor. There we found the dining area, living room and the kitchen. We see that the living areas are a blend of segmented rooms and an open floor plan, and here the use of wall or two is necessary so every space is clearly defined. After that let’s walk around the living room, an impression are making the lovely wall art and the large mask collection, the area is very good ventilated because of the expansive windows.
Then let’s take a look of the kitchen area – this sleek and modern kitchen with a magnificent island and glass back-painted backsplash, which is on the way to the dining room. The element that stand out is the DIY light fixture made by salvaged branches. After that we go to the second floor where we are absolutely amazed by the serene master suite designed in Asian Style, a laundry room and stylish bookshelf located in the hallway. As we said in the beginning, the house is a business residence so in the front is the TaC Studios office and the conference room that is very appropriate for intense brainstorming meetings.
So we are just finishing with the visit of this curated Atlanta home. For the end we leave the amazing backyard with a deck in Dasso bamboo, next to it we see a koi pond with huge stepping stones and comfortable porch next to the lap pool. The energy needs of the house are watched over to the bare minimum, thanks to the passive cooling and heating design and the ample natural ventilation.
