Make Your Bedroom Luxurious with these 7 Simple Additions

Of all the rooms in your home, the bedroom deserves to be the most luxurious. But lots of people neglect to enhance the comfort of their bedroom only because it’s a room that guests don’t usually get to see. But if you don’t have a cozy bedroom, it might be more difficult for you to sleep well or escape the world when you feel like getting away from everybody. It’s easy to transform the look and feel of your bedroom—here are 7 simple additions that will make your bedroom more luxurious.

A Bench

A bedroom bench is a small, cushioned bench that you place at the foot of your bed. A bench can make it easier for you to put on your shoes or other types of clothing when you’re getting ready in the morning. Some benches have interior storage or a storage shelf on the bottom side where you can store numerous things, like jewelry boxes or shoes.

It’s also nice to just have an extra place to sit in your bedroom that’s not your bed or the toilet. If you don’t want a bench, you might consider placing a small bedroom chair in the room, which serves the same purpose but takes up less space.

A Mattress Frame

A nice mattress frame is a simple, but effective way to add style and comfort to your bedroom. If you have a cheap-looking mattress frame supporting your mattress, then guests will notice it immediately and it will offset all the other aesthetically pleasing aspects of your bedroom. Furthermore, a poorly constructed mattress frame can negate a high-quality mattress by causing it to be imbalanced.

On that note, a good mattress is essential for any luxury bedroom. Consider getting a mattress that utilizes memory foam—a material that conforms to the shape of your body so that it comfortably cradles you while you’re sleeping.

New Window Blinds or Curtains

Ugly window blinds or curtains will destroy the aesthetic of your bedroom, so be sure you have coverings that are built with quality materials and which match the décor of your home.

Trying to turn your bedroom into the perfect sleep retreat? Consider getting blackout curtains. Blackout curtains are extra thick and they’re built to block out more light and sound than regular curtains—they also insulate your bedroom more effectively. If you’re having difficult sleeping due to noise, light, or uncomfortable bedroom temperatures, a blackout curtain might be just the thing to help you improve your sleep.

Atmospheric Lamps

Don’t overlook your bedroom’s lighting. There are a wide variety of lamps you can add to your bedroom to give it a unique vibe in the evening. You can add strip lights around the perimeters of your room, which creates a dim lighting aesthetic that’ll help you get sleepy at the end of the day. You could also add a Himalayan salt lamp or glow lights. This type of lighting is much less harsh than your bedroom’s ceiling lights and they’ll help you feel more relaxed when you’re unwinding in the evening.

Mirrors

Think about adding new mirrors to your bedroom, or invest in some mirrored bedroom furniture. Mirrors serve a practical and aesthetic purpose. It’s obviously a good idea to have mirrors in your bedroom so you can use them while you’re getting dressed, doing your hair, or putting on makeup. But they also serve to make your bedroom space look larger, and thus, more comfortable.

New Faucets

Have you ever seen a luxury bathroom with a bathroom counter that doesn’t sparkle? Although it might be a little more expensive to totally redo your master bathroom’s flooring or countertop, you can install new bathroom faucets for relatively cheap. New faucets will go a long way in making your bathroom look nicer.

Throw Pillows

Sometimes, your bedroom just needs a couple bells and whistles to bring out the colors make it feel a little cozier. Throw pillows are an easy and affordable way to do that. Just buy a few pillows that match your bedroom colors and toss them on your bed and on any other pieces of furniture.

Organic Cotton Bedding for the Perfect Sleep

The icing on the cake of a luxurious bedroom is the bedding sets that you will sleep in. Nothing is more luxurious than the feel of organic cotton bedding against your skin. What’s great about organic cotton is the soft, yet highly durable and high quality feel that lasts over time much longer than standard cotton. It feels like you’re getting into a fresh set of bedding each night you go to bed and this is the epitome of luxury.

Any of these 7 accessories will make your bedroom feel so much more luxurious and desirable.
