46 Social Houses Gabriel Verd
Out next contemporary architecture project is situated in the lovely country of Spain. The exact location is the suburbs of Sevilla.
The architects had to built on a really small sized plot. On the other hand they had to make such a building that will accommodate enough homes. The solution was to make a project for vertically arranged living spaces in a block of flats. The result is 46 two or three bedroom apartments with a modern touch of design. The patio that is nested between the separate parts of the block functions as a connector and socializer between the families living there.
Having in mind that the flats are designed for low-income households the materials in the interior are selected in order to reflect the people’s lifestyle. Simple finishings such as latex painted walls in different colors are decorating the inside parts. As for the building itself, corrugated zinc panels are used in five different blends – opaque and microperforated.
As for the facade, we can outline that it has been made in the most traditional way. All of the flats have small terraces with wide windows. Of course, the traditional plan is transformed with more contemporary approach that results in an eye-catching overall outlook of the building.
