In the past, the property has been a really dark place. It had a lot of dark cherry cabinets and trim. The dark feelings inside the place were strengthened additionally by the outdated look of the walls. Since the house is a perfectly located summer retreat, the homeowners wanted to change everything in the interior, so that it could naturally reflect their emotions and lifestyle. Usually, they spend all the summer months in this beautiful home, so their will was to transform it into a modern, stylish rustic cottage. The task was assigned to Lauren Piskula of [de]luxe design studio, who clearly understood the homeowners desired and immediately answered with materials like reclaimed barn wood and crisp white trim.
