Our next project is a highly contemporary minimalist house, located in Giradot, Colombia. The project has been developed by GM Arquitectos and is called GM1 House. It features a large roof, giant floor-to-ceiling windows that allow a lot of natural sunshine in the place, and minimalist interior and exterior designs. The building is constructed in two levels and provide a beautiful views over the surrounding nature. Actually, the plan was to create a contemporary living are that could blend with the landscape around.
In the images bellow, you will see that the living areas are connected with the pool via sliding doors. On the second level, one can find an enormous terrace – a feature that reflects the open plan and open-minded approach when designing the house. Inside in the living areas, they main aspects tend to be the living room and the dining area. They nest a fascinating collection of contemporary furniture and modern home applications. Functionality is also something that the designers worked a lot for. As a result they achieved an exciting minimalist house with simple and elegant interior and useful living areas.
