GIULIANO FUJIWARA STORE
After Tokyo and Paris, the fashion brand Giuliano Fujiwara moves on to another very important city tor the world of fashion and design – Milan. The new two-floor store open at the Beginning of 2009 and did not remain unnoticed. The project for the interior is made by Hiroyuki Matsunaka from design room 702 studio, who managed to create a remarkable blend of Italian chic and the minimalistic principles of Japanese design. It is not difficult to feel his inspiration from the idea to look for beauty in imperfections, the Zen aesthetics and the art of origami.
Main role in the arrangement plays a multitude of panels with different shapes and glossy black surfaces, which reflect each other and seem to be randomly positioned in space.
The approach in the design of furniture is led more by the idea of taking away from the original shape, rather than adding elements to it. Sharp edges predominate, which in combination with the strongly contrasting black-and-white colour scheme defines the comparatively cold and provocative look of the interior.
