High Tech Architectural Installation
United Visual Artists (UVA) constructed one of their latest LED sculpture which they called Origin. The purpose of the installation is to investigate in what degree nowadays society is going to accept the technological progress in our everyday lives.
Just near DUMBO’s Tobacco Warehouse is where the construction has been set in October 2011. Nearby are also the two Brooklyn’s Bridges. The installation itself is a 10m x 10m cubes which is lighted from all sides. Once you enter its magical atmosphere, you will be charmed. It is the latest of series of installations beginning with Orchestrion – a stage developed for Coachella 2011.
Origin consists of full cutting-edge LED lighting systems that allow almost all color nuances to appear on the installation. The construction holds 125 two-meter cubic spaces. And we shall not forget the unique sound installation of bass and treble speakers that fill the construction with creepy sounds.
