Facebook is one of the main factors in today’s social digital life. After reaching a billion users so quickly and filling two headquarters with employees, Facebook decided to make a step towards constructing a campus that is worth of calling a home. The building is located in Menlo Park, where previously there has been the Sun Microsystems campus. Facebook bought the old plot and reconstructed almost everything, thus achieving a new, contemporary space where socializing, mobility, cultural-relevance, personality and expression are tolerated of utmost importance.

It was Gensler that has been chosen to complete the difficult transforming task and he succeeded. Facebook didn’t choose younger architects by accident. The company’s main goal was to create a fresh and modern place and that’s why they believed that a younger team will do this best.
