Who doesn’t like fireplaces? I mean, is there any person in this world that doesn’t like to feel the warmth coming from the burning fire, as well as the charm of the light touching the hearts and making the chats even more pleasant while drinking a glass of classy red wine?

I want to focus today not exactly on the design of the fireplace but more on the decorations that we can make on our own or buy and put at the fireplace. There are many ideas collected here and some of them are really touching. I would be very happy if you find your inspiration from the images and try to apply it at your home. There are some really fascinating contemporary fireplaces. In today’s world designers try to compete one with another and the result is better and better designs that amaze the homeowners. Ok, so suppose that you have a modern fireplace. What are you going to put near it in order to additionally decorate the focal point of the room? Or, is there any need of decorations or you’d better leave it this way – simply, minimalist and elegant. I will say – well, it all depends on the rest of the interior of your house and particularly the room the fireplace is placed into. Look at the images here and I am sure you will figure it out what are the best practices.

We are in the middle of fall and I want to outline some good points of having a fireplace before it gets really cold. There are some people that like to light the fireplace even before the snow falls. Of course, there is the other type that leaves the fireplace only as a part of the decor. The good thing is that when you don’t actively use your fireplace (during spring, summer, autumn) you can use its inner part where you put the wood as a space for additional decorative items.

Fall’s richness is in autumn leaves, pumpkins, branches and all types of yellow and orange fruits that one can find out in his garden or in the streets. All this natural items make great decorations. You can see from the images here how you can use your findings in order to beautify the place around the fireplace.

Fireplace decorating ideas with TV

Many people like to put the TV just above the fireplace. I would like to break the myth that the most suitable place for a TV is above the fireplace and the reason is really simple – when you are looking straight towards the TV there is additional light that brings light noise that disturbs the eyes from the screen. Imagine watching TV with the lights off and the fire burning with vivid flames. Think about it.

On the other hand, a TV looks really well above the fireplace. Have a look at the images here and you will find some great fireplace decorating ideas.

Fireplace decorating ideas with mirror

Unlike TVs, mirrors are very well accepted above the fireplace. I have seen many examples – from modern and abstract shapes to classic or vintage mirrors that decorate the fireplaces. Personally, I think that a single round mirror is the greatest and most stylish solution for living room decor. Looking at the images here you will also find some great other ideas that I am pretty sure will intrigue you.
