5 Ways to Spice Up Your Foyer

Posted by: Founterior , May 27, 2020

Designing the foyer requires careful planning and a spark of creativity. This is the first thing that will be seen by anyone who will be entering your home, so take the time to make it look good. It is also your opportunity to create a good first impression when you have guests coming over. Keep on reading and we’ll share some tips on decorating your foyer.

Build a Gallery Wall

A gallery wall is one of the simplest ways to combine style and substance in the foyer. This will add more personality to the foyer. It is also a great conversation starter.  A good idea is to use family photos from special events and vacations. If you are into photography, you can also show off some of your best shots. To build a beautiful gallery wall, work with trusted photo printing service providers for the pictures to stand out.

Hang a Canvas Print

Canvas prints will also make nice decorative touches to your foyer. You can place it on floating shelves or hang the prints in a beautiful frame. You can even use canvas prints for the photos that you will display in a gallery wall. Compared to a traditional photo paper, canvas is a better material because it adds texture and more personality to the photo.

Add a Mirror

For a stylish and inviting foyer, consider adding a mirror. This combines form and function in your décor. It is one of the cheapest ways to create more character in the entryway. To choose a mirror that’s perfect for your wall, consider the right size, shape, and material. Make sure that it will complement the overall design of your home to be coherent with the look you are trying to achieve.

Decorate with Plants

To give your guests a warm welcome, consider the best indoor plants for homes. They will let you bring nature in while also adding a pop of color to your foyer. Many of these plants require minimal care and maintenance. Some plants even have the ability to get rid of pollutants in the air. Some of the best plants to have in your foyer are peace lily, snake plant, pothos, English ivy, Chinese evergreen, and asparagus fern, among others.

Light it Up

Adding the right lighting is also one of the fool-proof ways to spice up your foyer. By adding dramatic lighting to the foyer, it will be more welcoming. From wall sconces to chandeliers, you will have a variety of styles to choose from. Pick one that perfectly blends with the overall look of the foyer.

From photos to lights, there are many things that you can add to the foyer to make it look better. Doing the things mentioned above can help add more character to the entryway, making your guests feel welcomed as they set foot in your home.
