Sanitize Your Home with These Quick and Easy Tips

Posted by: Founterior , December 16, 2020

Keeping ourselves and our homes clean are of upmost important now more than ever. I think we can all recall the moment when cleaning products were flying off the shelves a few months ago! For those looking to give their home a well-deserved deep clean before we head into the festive period, we have some simple, quick and easy suggestions for you right here. Ranging from room to room, we have ways on how you can clear out the dirt and grime; just in time for 2021 and a new year! Grab those rubber gloves and your cleaning products, and let’s get to work. Before commencing with the task of sanitizing your entire home, make sure you have all the right tools and supplies to get the job done while keeping yourself protected. Cleaning products and tools aren’t the only ones you’ll need for this job. You must also prepare personal protective equipment to wear during cleaning. These include a face mask to prevent inhaling dust and fumes from cleaners, and a pair of sturdy nitrile disposable gloves to avoid hand injuries and irritation. Wear old clothes or a cleaning apron so you don’t have to ruin a perfectly nice set of clothing.

Kitchen

A frequented room in any home, ensuring kitchens are clean is especially important when preparing food and drink for yourself, your family and any guests to your home. Make sure to properly disinfect any kitchen counters and surfaces – don’t forget to move any appliances and get underneath them! If your dining table and chairs are in the kitchen rather than a separate room, remember to give those a wipe down with disinfectant also. Cleaning the inside of your microwave will ensure that any nasty viruses don’t have a place to dwell. Ensure that frequently touched areas of the kitchen are cleaned regularly, including the of handles to cupboards, doors and the refrigerator. It is surprising how much dirt builds up on those! Empty bins and food disposals regularly, discouraging any bad odors and bacteria from forming.

Living Room

Nowadays, this isn’t just the quick dusting of the tv and coffee table but instead, deeper upholstery cleaning and more. It can be difficult to clean upholstery in your home, especially if it is of a certain material; you don’t want to get part-way through the job and realize you are damaging it! If you want to take the pressure and stress off yourself and want a professional and deep clean for your home, consider hiring an upholstery cleaning service like that of Near Me Carpet Cleaners. You will be guaranteed an excellent service for your home, with the use of steam and hot water extraction methods, getting any stains and odors out of those sofa cushions.

Bathroom

While this is the place we keep ourselves clean, this is a place where dirt and grime can build up quickly. Ensuring that you give your bathrooms a deep clean regularly, will prevent this dirt build-up, while preventing any viruses and bacteria from breeding. If you have a shower curtain that can be detached, remember to take this down and get it bleached and disinfected, for these can attract dirt easily. Deep clean the toilet, basin and don’t forget to give those faucets a wipe while you are there! Disinfecting your home from top to bottom, getting into those often-forgotten nooks and crannies, will prevent any viruses from sticking around, and decrease the risk to you and your family of picking up any nasty illnesses. Like in the kitchen, remember to empty any bathroom bins you might have.
