Levitation
Levitation is the idea behind L. McComber Architects’ project for a loft on Lachine Canal in Montreal, Canada.
The need for a baby’s room in a restricted area is satisfied through the raising of a platform that seems to float into the air. The elegant curves of the moulded plywood platform follow and hang on a tubular steel support construction. Indirect lighting on side walls and luminous bricks reinforce the floating effect and create a special atmosphere.
