Top 4 Tips for Choosing the Right Bed

Posted by: Founterior , September 14, 2018

Choosing a new bed may not seem like a big deal, but trust us, it really is.

Getting quality sleep is super important- and not just so you don’t have bags under your eyes. Sleep affects your weight, mental health, energy levels, and so much more.

And oftentimes, the right bed can make or break the quality of sleep you get.

But, there are a lot of choices out there when it comes to beds. How on earth are you supposed to find the one that’s right for you?

The process isn’t as difficult as you think. Read on to learn the top four tips for choosing the right bed.

1. Evaluate How You Sleep

Everyone sleeps differently, and therefore, what may be a great bed for one person may not be a great bed for another.

So, before you take someone’s recommendation as gold and buy the bed they have, think about how you sleep. Are you someone who tosses and turns a lot? Do you sleep on your back, or are you a side sleeper?

Whatever type of sleeper you are, there’s sure to be a bed out there for you. In fact, you may want to even consider getting a custom bed, such as the custom sleep system by Reverie.

2. Do a Brand Comparison

When it comes to finding the best bed, the internet is definitely your friend.

With just a little research, you can get a pretty good understanding as to what’s out there. You can read different blog posts that break down the pros and cons of each brand, check out Amazon reviews, and even verify companies through the Better Business Bureau.

What others say about their experience with not only the bed, but the company and their customer service, should really help you narrow down your options.

3. Take Size into Consideration

When choosing a bed, size is a very important factor that should not be overlooked.

You want to make sure you choose a bed that’s appropriately sized for your height and weight.

Also, if you are going to be sharing the bed with a partner, take into consideration how much room you each need to sleep. If you aren’t cuddlers and both like to sprawl out at night, you may want to consider a larger bed.

And, don’t just take the size of the bed into consideration. You’ll also want to consider the size of your room. A massive bed won’t do well in a small bedroom, so make sure you still have enough room to move around.
