More than ever, society has embraced equality and diversity in the various workplace, giving women roles and responsibilities similar to men’s. Gone are the days where women are stereotyped, and only men can take leadership positions.
Women have penetrated the industries, even those dominated by men, particularly in building and construction. Although in the United States, only 1 out of 10 workers in the building and construction industry pay to note that companies are now starting to make way for women to be part of the team.
We’ve met with eight women in the construction industry: contractors and interior designers, engineers, and architects based in different parts of the United States, and have presented several samples of wall cladding materials available in retail big-box and specialty stores like Best Buy, Ikea, Home Depot, Costco, as well as PVC Wall Panels by Duramax.
We conducted a quick survey on which of the products they have used or used in their projects, both major and minor ones, which products they are likely to recommend to clients, among many others. We made sure not to show the brands to prevent pre-conceived notions and avoid biases.
