40-story luxury hotel, known as “City of Dreams”, is located in Macau. Worldwide is famous that it is the Macau’s prime leisure and entertainment destination. The project is created by the Zaha Hadid Architects. Observed as an individual “sculptural element” united by an exhibited exoskeleton mesh structure, the “simple volume” was expelled from its rectangular site as two skyscraper connected at the dais and roof stages, with the tower’s center external void punctuated by two organically shaped bridges. The visitors are greeted when entering the hotel with 40-meter tall “grandiose atrium”.
Here is what ZHA says in the press about their challenging project: “The dynamism of the design is reinforced by the tower’s exposed exoskeleton. This external expressive and powerful structure optimizes the interior design and enfold the building; furthermore it is establishing relationships with the new Cotai strip and its formal composition.”
As this is a future project and it is planned to be finished in the early 2017. The hotel will have a gaming area, retail strip, and atrium that includes lobby, reception, and a flexible installation area. The hotel will has also a 780 hotel units, few restaurants, “super lounge”, VIP gaming, sky pool and top floor villas.
