Cooking area is one of those lovely places in home where I like spending countless hours in experimenting with food or different cooking techniques. I like to bake cookies, to prepare delicious French soups, try to invent different pasta receipts, as well as comparing different olive oils deciding which goes better with lemon juice.
But what do you actually need in order to create miracles in kitchen? Have you ever asked yourself? In a recent discussion here at Founterior all of our collegues agreed – this is the interior and the decorations in kitchen. That’s why I have collected some really good examples of cooking area signs that I think can change the entire look of your cooking place. You will be amazed how a single size can completely transform the atmopshere, thus creating an experimental lab for cooking.
Cooking Area Signs
Signs can be used in many different styles – from traditional white and creme kitchens to modern and contemporary stainless steel heavens. They add a stylish and interesting touch when placed on the right position. From the images here you will be able to see what placement options you have.
Some people place them above the cabinets. This is a great idea but personally, I don’t like it much because only people who are standing far away from the countertops can actually see the sign. It just stays hidden above the cabinets edge. There are some who prefer placing an interesting sign on the wall just next to the kitchen door – a great soltuon for non-decorated walls, I think.
You will also see signs placed just above the kitchen door – another great placement which I don’t like 🙂 Just because I can only enjoy the sign when I go out of the room – not a cooking inspiration. On the other hand, signs placed in front of the sink are just my cup of tea. I can enjoy looking at them now and then everytime I pass near the kitchen. Being on the kitchen island and preparing all those delicious meals I can simply take my head a little bit off the vegetables looking straight at the kitchen and voila! The sign is there waiting to inspire my imagination!
