In recent years I see more and more people trying to invent different creative objects out of pallets. And I was really surprised when I’ve visited a friend of mine living in the country. He has this beautiful house with some 20000 square foot garden and what do you thing did I saw there? A pallet fence! He had spent a week for building the fence and then painting it, but the result was stunning.
Actually, some people think that building a pallet fence is a cheap activity. Well, it can be if you buy old and unused pallets or you simple have a pile stocked somewhere in your home. But if you need to buy then (no matter if they are used) and repaint them, they can costs more. On the other hand, if you can’t do it on your own, you will need to hire a carpenter who will attach the separate parts together and install the fence. Having in mind the size of your garden, the amount of money can go up high in the sky. Well, compared to installing a brand new fence, it’s still a budget solution.
Pallet Fence Design Ideas
In the image collection here I have tried to find the most interesting and attractive examples of how people build a fence out of pallets. I must admit that some of the images are simply outstanding. You will find that some of the works are very professional making the fence look like a solid construction. On some of the images you can hardly find that it was actually build of pallets. It’s true! Of course, painting helps a lot for hiding the original material but it shape remains always recognizable.
So, let’s get back to the story of my friend and me. It was a hot summer night and he introduced my family and me at the garden where there was a special place separated from the main volume. It had small decorative lamps on the fence, comfortable patio furniture placed under a small gazebo and soft pillows to complete the cozy atmosphere. And guess what this small paradise was also surrounded by a pallet fence! Huge concrete tiles led us from the main entrance to this fantastic place to spend hot summer nights. The interesting part was that this friend of mine has also used pallets to make some additional storage racks for flowers. They were attached to the main fence construction and we were simply charmed. In this particular part of the garden, the fence has been only polished thus revealing the natural beauty of the wooden material.
