Modern Seaside House by Gray Organschi Architecture

In this project, you will find small-scale private terrain, which is looking to the site’s dunes and is looking to the sea. The clients are creative and talented designers.

The house’s exterior space is formed by few courtyards. In one of the yards, there is a long dark cedar wall, which is in the end of the driving court. It separates parking zone from the entry at the front door. On the side, where separate the house from the seaside, there is a bamboo hedge that screens the pool. Near to the pool, there is a very intimate sheltered outdoor space with covered porch. It is a perfect place for contemplating the ocean. Thanks to the small changes in the levels of private and public space, we have the experience of arriving, entering, and encountering the vista beyond. We definitely cannot deny that the owners have an artistic vision that is added to the house’s interior design. Thus the spatial richness and the material are enhanced while the clear sense of rustic modernism is maintained.
