Modern Office Interior Design
Human Kind Advertising have their office in Johannesburg, South Aftrica. When the time to make changes in their office came, they hired PPS Interiors in order to receive some conceptual proposals.
In the brief to the agency it was mentioned that there is a strong need of fun spaces to be created. This step was towards the idea that a feeling of creativity incorporated in the interior will underline the corporate professionalism.
Of course, some problems appeared when the project was started. The existing design didn’t provide a natural flow of light trough all the rooms in the office. The big amount of dark spaces wasn’t very inspiring for the working environment. An old house, later converted into office spaces, was the main reason for the problems outlined.
One of the rooms in the office was both a library and a small meeting room at the same time. It was not only used as a place for reading, but also for relaxing. As a chill room one can lounge for hours and hours undisturbed. When the table and the benches are being fold down, the room transforms into a real library with shelves and everything.
On the second floor one can find a perfect synchronization between old and new. The colorful and joyful palette creates an unique dynamic atmosphere. The most remarkable things in the interior that strengthen the positive feeling in the office are the boardroom chairs, damask patterned wallpaper, polished concrete and AstroTurf .
