The name of the project is Salon Slundre. Its location is up in one of the highest levels of the building. The top floor is fully glazed, providing breath-taking views over the city below. Originally, the volume was designed in order to accommodate a restaurant. It was a true architectural masterpiece since it creating an oustanding indents in triangular shape. This interesting dual shape was formed from the roof that angled inward, thus slashing the inner parts of the volume.

Inside, the architect tried to follow the shape of the roof which resulted in furniture made from LVL . The other additions in the interior are based on a diamond shape.

The angle approach helped dividing the space into different functional areas – for storage, etc. However, the greatest volume remains the 1500 sq. feet salon. In addition to the LVL walls, the architect also incorporated an existing metal buildings frame.

When asked, the architect explained that the steel frame supports the structure of the existing before steel frame. When looked from outside, it’s completely flat. But the polyhedron formed in the area for shampooing get’s much more complicated when seen inside.

Looking in the opposite direction from the shampooing area, you can see a black wall, that tries to match the strips of wood. There are also a small area for mixing hair color, toilets and restroom.
On the reception desk, there is an upside down pyramided. It consists of a desk and bank in the shaped of a diamond. Their size can be easily changed when raised up towards the ceiling.
