October 31st is quickly coming and it is time to dig out our old Halloween decorations and turn our home into a magical place. Creativity is one of those positive aspects of human mind that you need to provoke in order to invent new and stunning ideas for your living space and I really hope that the following collection of Halloween decoration ideas will give you some brilliant ideas.
To begin with, I would like to tell you that I love Halloween! I like the autumn colors that give some kind of melancholic feel about the summer that have ended. I like the oranges that fill entire houses and front lawns and wait for October 31st to come and share some positive emotions around the table. If you are planning your home party, you need to make some scary decorations so that your friends and guests will enjoy the atmosphere too. But what are the essential elements for this holiday?
Halloween decorations – Pumpkins
Well, one of the most traditional items for a Halloween night. Pumpkins can be used for the make of scary lanterns that can be placed at the front porch or the front lawn to light the path up. You can also make a lantern for your home inside but you have to be careful with the fire.
Halloween decorations – Candles
Candles give the atmosphere that kind of creepy feeling when you enter the room and see that there is no light instead the one coming from the giant gothic wrought iron candleholder. I have seen some very creative ideas for candleholders, though. For example, imagine little pumpkins, very small in size, with attached spider legs on every size. Actually, they just look like small spiders. When you light the candle in the center of the pumpkin up, you get a fantastic lantern.
Halloween decorations – Creepy Birds
I don’t know why but black birds, especially ravens, can add the desired “drama” element in your holiday décor. They have always looked to me like predecessors of a forthcoming scene of violence and death. Of course, these are only prejudice that I have gained because of the media and the movies ravens are used in. Admit it, you won’t see a graveyard in a movie without a single raven in the scene.
Halloween decorations – Treats
What is Halloween without the traditional treats? You need to be prepared for all the little mischievous kids that are going to come by your door and ask you “Trick or treat”. Surprise the kids with some homemade treats and sweets and they will simply love you! Make their holiday a better, more interesting and funny night!
